Setting Requirements
Through collaboration, our shared roadmap and documentation provide a really clear overview of our goals and their timeframes. Combining this with our discovery process, we start to build out cohesive frameworks and flows that draw upon our research and overarching strategy. We aim to continue our free-flowing and open discussions throughout, to ensure every stakeholder has the chance to review and feedback on our progress in real time.
Information Architecture (UX)
Clear, well-signposted user flows and product structures are essential. Once these are established we focus on context, which for us means less of the ambiguous grey-box wireframes, opting instead for a high-fidelity approach from the beginning. In our experience, stakeholders prefer this to help them get a sense of what’s happening and how it relates to the final product.
The discovery phase and our open discussions give us a really good idea of how the eventual design should look. Surfacing content when its relevant and useful is the cornerstone of our approach when it comes to structuring our designs. Overloading people with information doesn’t sit right with us — we want to ensure our user flows promote a sense of clarity and simplicity. Leveraging our ability to rapidly prototype during this process helps gain confidence in our decisions. Testing as early as possible, internally or with selected external users gives us real feedback that loops back into further iterations.
Design (Visual)
Combining everything we’ve learned and produced, we evolve our prototypes into beautifully refined designs from mobile, apps, SaaS systems and websites. Our content strategy reinforces the brand and focuses on engaging your users in a meaningful and compelling way.
The combination of photography, illustration and storytelling should evoke a positive response which will captivate your audience. Your brand strategy doesn’t stop at design choices, but carefully guides our use of visuals. This ensures we take full advantage of their ability to speak to your target market on an emotional level while cementing the desired narrative. We’ll also ensure you have a cohesive brand by establishing constraints and conventions around their usage. We approach content strategy as a way to further consolidate your brand narrative, communicating your story to its audience through engaging photography, illustrations and video.
We also look at how animation can enhance and support a visual narrative as well as aid user interaction. Nothing is done just for initial impact — its about being honest with our storytelling and making sure users want to keep engaging with your business.
Frameworks
Developing a framework internally always starts as our base for all projects. This contains a spectrum of color palettes, typography and atomic elements which we use to define our design patterns (all the components which make up your digital efforts). Our framework serves as the foundation for evolving design systems, which scale and maintain consistency across all of your brand communications.
